Introduction & Profiles

Well, I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself. I am married and live in Greenwood. I have lived here for the majority of my life and love this community. I went to Greenwood Elementary up to the 8th grade and moved on to Jess Lanier. I did not have the option to go to McAdory as I wanted. I made the best of it and was actively involved in high school and the community through a girl's club. It was very hard, especially since the majority of my friends transferred out of Lanier after the riots occurred our Freshman year. I went on to attend Jacksonville State University for 2 1/2 years and returned home to Greenwood. As a kid, I played ball for the Greenwood Dixie Youth Association, playing against McAdory for I guess 13 years. Greenwood, though is mostly an older community with retirement age people or those that don't have school age children, so the ballpark / association eventually ceased to exist. I don't have any children myself which is why I take such an active role in the lives of my nieces and nephews. I have coached and assisted on teams at McCalla where my wonderful niece plays. I am the National Lead Adoption Coordinator for S'Wheat Rescues based out of Kansas City as well as the Southeast Rep handling all fosters, homechecks and transports. I have 2 dogs, Daisy and Barney and a foster named Mickey that you can see at www.wheatenterrierrescue.org. I love to travel and scrapbook. I am an activist at heart and political minded. I am a Christian first, Conservative second and Republican third. So, that is the scoop on me.

I have lived in the McCalla area for about 3 years. My daughter goes to McAdory Middle School and is in the band. I work in the community. I attend most middle school football games. My wife graduated form Mcadory and has been in the area most of her life. We live in the Bluff Ridge area of McCalla.

I have lived in McCalla forever. Both of my kids go to McAdory one in middle one in high school.

I live in Hueytown, but my heart belongs in McCalla. Both my husband and I graduated from McAdory, as well as our parents, my siblings and all my nieces and nephews. My kids attend North Highlands Elementary, which I also love. My kids will be the first in my family to not graduate from McAdory...unless we get back there after they finish at NHE. I'm active in my kid's school and I also serve on an advisory committee at McAdory. I coached softball at McCalla for years, but am now satisfied to sit in the bleachers and watch my own kids play. My parents and siblings still live in McCalla, so I spend as much time there as I do in Hueytown.

You can take the girl outta McCalla, but ya can't take McCalla outta the girl!!!

Well a little about me . Which is funny since most of u have read a profile on me somewhere at sometime but here we go

I graduated McAdory High in 1986 along side myhunny . After graduation I attended college receiving an Associates Degree in Commercial Art. Shortly after I finished college, I ran into myhunny(he had run off to the army). Six months later we got married and started havin babies shortly after that(nope it wasnt a shotgun wedding).

Fast forward 17 yrs. Still married and livin' in BluffRidge . We have 3 kids, all boys that drive me batty ; I have way too many animals 4 dogs, a cat and a chinchilla. I am currently being a crazy mom to 3 boys and he works in a steel mill in B'ham.

Our kids attend McAdory, so I still attend McAdory as well(i hope to be done in 2015) . I luv Nascar and High School Sports. My driver is DaleJr. My team on saturday is AUBURN!! The rest of the time my blood runs black and gold.

I guess we are the average american family. So who are u ??

Just a little about me..... I moved to the McCalla area in 1984, graduated from McAdory in 1993. Moved away for just a little while. Moved back to McCalla. My daughter goes to McAdory Middle School. She will graduate in 2013. She is in the Middle School Band. I got re-married to a wonderful and handsome man in 2006. I work in the Bessemer area and I live in the Bluff Ridge/McCalla area.

My mom graduated in1993 and has lived in mccalla,gone to mcadory most of her life.
